The ABWA was founded in 1949 to provide support for women entering the workforce after WWII when the men came back and women were kicked out of their jobs. They offer networking, skills training, and professional development even to this day. Organizations like this are needed, especially since women couldn't even own their own business without a male cosigner until 1988. Add this to your everyday wear as a reminder that you are capable and able to take care of yourself!
