This sculpture is a Lynn Bailey Original. It features a mama pig lying on her side as 5 of her piglets suckle and one sits diligently guarding his mother. A bird sits on top of the mother pig. The entire sculpture is a green glaze. A wonderful piece for those who love collecting art or just enjoy scenes of farm life.
Lynn Bailey is the wife of Marvin Bailey who is well-known for making collectible "Ugly Face Jugs" which are a part of Southern Folk Art Pottery. Lynn is well-known for her animal and tree of life sculptures.
The sculpture is around 8" long, 5.25" wide, and 4" tall.
